Alginate Powder (Cloning Material) A fine-textured Premium-grade molding powder that dries quickly and is specially formulated for hand and foot casting. Its unique formula is non-irritating to the skin, even for newborns.

• Prepare two plastic or paper containers to make it easy to remove the finished mold later.

• Measure the proper volume. If unsure, place the object you want to cast into the container, fill with water until fully submerged, remove the object, and weigh the remaining water.

• Measure the alginate powder using a ratio of 1 part powder to 2 parts water by weight.

• Mix for about 1 minute, stirring until smooth and jelly-like. (Pour the powder into the water and stir simultaneously — work quickly to prevent lumps.)

• Place the object to be molded into the mixture and hold still for about 5 minutes until the material sets. Carefully remove the object without deforming the mold.

• Allow the mold to dry completely for about 10 minutes before using it for casting.

• Infant: 100 g per hand or foot

• Child: 200 g per hand or foot

• Adult: 300 g per hand or foot
